(Date 8/2/2021) I have identified a clarification that needs to be added to the review below that I originally submitted. To recap, these lights will work in a blinking application when the power supply is providing a steady DC current. (For example, a car's normal DC system.) These lights will not flash when the power supply is pulsed DC. (An unfiltered bridge rectifier, for example.) The battery I originally installed was low and was on a charger that was charging the battery when I checked the lights in the car. The charger I have puts out constant current, unfiltered and "intermittent". Apparently these lamps don't like being switched frequently in a short period of time. I found (a year later in a "well, it's better than nothing" situation) when I had to replace one of the turn signals, and only one of them to replace it, it worked fine. That's when I realized that if the battery was clean, the light would turn on and off with no problem. I've been using the lights in the Blinker app for a year and they're still working fine. I have left the review below as originally written because I see that some people have marked this review as 'helpful'. To add clarification to the following review, as this isn't necessarily wrong, it's only true in one specific case: the lights need to be powered from a "smooth" DC source to work in a blinking application. (Date: 02/03/2019) This review is only based on using lights in the Blinker app. The LED lights are as advertised. They are bright and polarity insensitive. You can connect them both positive to center and common to outer case or positive to outer case and common to center and it lights up. I have used them to replace turn signal bulbs that use this style base. With the first impulse, the LED lights up, but then it does not light up completely because the turn signal continues to work. They flicker weakly and unevenly with each pulse. At some point they won't light up at all. They have a minimum turn off time before they light up again and the turn signal pulse rate is less than this time. If you connect the LED to a constant power supply, turn on the power supply and do not pulse, the light will turn on. immediately and continues to burn. This happens in both polarity configurations. When turning it on and off, you need to pulse at 2+ second intervals for the light to come on and stay on each time. This also applies to both polarity configurations. Unfortunately, the turn signal controls pulse about once a second or a little faster. The overall impression of the LED as a light source is bright and white. It works well for an application that doesn't need to be turned on and off for a short period of time. I don't know if the product will last, but the construction seems good. The overall impression of the LED as a turn signal or turn signal: Does not work.
