Since 1998 I have had parrots of all sizes and cages for birds of all sizes. The quick connect MUST be larger as this toy is specifically designed for a large parrot, but there is a quick connect for a MEDIUM parrot. The jaws of the quick connect didn't match the bars of the macaw cage, but they fit well in the gray parrot's cage (a medium sized bird cage). The length of the quick connect is also much shorter than the reasonable size for a large parrot cage. This is common among bird toy manufacturers who appear to be pawning an undersized hanger to save pennies and is most annoying. This is a common problem with online orders because the size of the quick link cannot be displayed. For this reason I will not be buying any more large parrot toys from Revain. Obviously the manufacturer felt they needed the meager expense they saved than my buyback. The design flaw is that a small chain is threaded through a central hole in the wooden pieces and when the bird chews on the wooden pieces (which they SHOULD do) they IMMEDIATELY snap and fall off - not for long. In this case, the chain is no longer symmetrical and becomes crooked, and you have to repeatedly thread the chain through the holes in the PVC connector. If I were designing this toy (especially for the money it was sold for), I would attach SOMETHING to the chain at the very top (a cotter pin, an acrylic disc, a large heavy plastic bead, or a piece of raw leather chewing gum). That didn't happen. My birds quickly lost interest in this toy as it no longer had 4 legs arranged in a square and the PVC hung vertically with the chains in a row next to each other. Once I had the time and materials necessary to get it hanging properly, they both played on opposite sides.
