I needed a temporary audio input solution and an optical cable. I'm used to using HDMI ARC. This cable works and is worth the money. There are other optical cables that claim all kinds of things, e.g. For example, they may be made out of one material or another, or even charge a premium just because they look cooler. Don't trust the marketing jargon of other cables, this optical cable is great when you need an optical cable solution. And it doesn't cost more than it should. I didn't spend much time using the cable as I said I need a temporary fix, but when I used it I didn't notice a huge difference in the sound compared to using HDMI-ARC.
