Not a very good design, slowly dying on me (after 2 months). boo!

There's probably a reason this KVM switch is so cheap (compared to professional models that cost hundreds of dollars). This is a very simple unit with one small addition (a button on a long cord). A couple of major design issues and then a very real functional issue which is why I'm only giving it two stars. Problem #1 is a minor one - no double-sided tape for the little button? This would be a win-win addition. Now it just flutters across my desk, but I'm imagining how fun it would be if it were pinned to the underside of my desk like a silent bank alarm - hear my boss go, flip the switch, what's Netflix? Problem #2. - More importantly - USB connections attached to the VGA port (used to connect a PC to the switch) are not that long. On my tower, they barely reach from the graphics card to the USB ports on the other end of the motherboard. The individual connections aren't too long either, so I had to place two of my workstations right next to each other in order to be able to connect them. Problem #3 is a minor one - what happened every time you just double-clicked "Scroll Lock"? This trick worked with all KVM switches. Not this one; They had to make a small button. Strange. Serious problem #1 (actually just one) - one of the two ports keeps failing and getting worse, like Walter White in season two. Most of the time when I switch between computers, the monitor won't turn on. and I have to reach for the computers and wiggle the connection to revive them. No amount of tightening is helping, so I'm guessing it's something internal. Right now it's long past the return period, so I guess I'll just take it until he dies. It would be quicker for me to just change the input settings on the monitor (which I'll probably do if the problem gets worse).
