According to Nordic Pure's customer service, they do not give filters a MERV rating because it is the most cost effective way to manufacture their filters. I have ordered similar filters from companies like AirX and Filtrete and the MERV/Filtration Rating is clearly marked on each filter. The product photo shows a blue label with the brand name and MERV rating on the box. I consider this a scam. How can I be sure that the filters I received and paid extra for are correct? I also add that the "size" and "airflow" printed on the filter housing are the same as the AirX filters I have. So Nordic Pure at least uses a third party to make the housings, if not the entire filter. Otherwise, the filters seem to be well made and quite durable. I will not order from Nordic Pure again if other companies have the same filters at the same price with a clearly marked rating.
