I recently cleaned my pantry. I was looking for something airtight to store my baking supplies. I first looked at OXO pop-top containers. They work well in a countertop setup but I could hardly get a medium size or two for the same price as the entire set. My baking supplies used to be on the top shelf of my pantry, and every time I needed flour, sugar, etc., I had to grab a stool. Now that I'm baking regularly, I've moved everything to the bottom roller. off the shelf. I already had a few of these which helped me choose the size I buy based on the ones I already have. I really like that everything in this set is the same size. Folding is very easy. I have a label maker where I made labels for each one, they stick on the lid because that shelf is below the waist. The nice thing is that if my bag of chocolate chips is only half full, I can put it in a smaller bag and use a new bag of peanut butter or white chocolate chips, etc. from the larger one. I just swap out the lids and don't have to move the labels . The ones I have now are at least 15 years old I think. I always put them in the dishwasher. I don't use a heat cycle, but I expect it will be fine on the top shelf, especially on newer dishwashers that don't have a dry cycle heating element. Even after so many years, they are all still in great shape, none of the small wings that bend and fix the lid are broken. They are just as airtight as any other container you will receive. I'm planning to buy another set of these, maybe a larger pair so everything is the same on my two baking shelves. I won't be giving up my OXO pop-up bins and replacing them with Lock and Lock bins, but everything else will be eliminated.
