I love putting colored scrunchies in my daughter's hair that match her clothes. I ordered them for that reason and the container they came in was a nice bonus. Unfortunately, many rubber bands seem to break easily throughout the day while in their hair. Once the rubber band broke after about an hour while it was in her hair. I thought nothing of it and just replaced it with another one and after about an hour the new rubber broke too. I've tried not to over-tighten them to reduce friction, but no matter how tight or loose I tie them, many of them just break. I still use them for my hair around the house or at night for a braid before bed.
