Docked Laptop Success!

The links on their website to download the software didn't work, so I had to go directly to DisplayPort to download the update. After that everything was pretty smooth. I hooked up a kid to two monitors and docked and saved his laptop. So now he has room on his desk to fit his laptop, textbook or whatever he needs to study without the laptop taking up half of his space. To avoid latency issues that sometimes occur when gaming and using DisplayPort software, I connected my main monitor directly to the laptop and mirrored the screen. On this he will play his games. For his second monitor, used for video, research, etc., I used the HDMI port on the Wavlink dock and "extended" the screen. This way it can have two monitors and bypass any latency issues that can sometimes arise. If you can, it's also a good idea to plug your mouse directly into your laptop instead of a docking station while gaming. Personally, I can't find any latency problems either on the monitor or when connecting a mouse via the docking station. But it was easy enough to work around the problem with the way I wired everything. sleep and let his keyboard wake up the system even though it's obviously already configured to do so. But this has nothing to do with the dock and anything related to Windows 10 is sometimes a problem. Finally everything is set up, working as it should and we are ready for school to start next week. Well I'm ready, he. not as much.
