I read some reviews that the product was defective upon delivery. I haven't had any problems with mine. If handled with care, it seems to withstand months of calibration. After use, I rinse in two glasses of distilled water and clean the end of the probe with a soft toothbrush. I use this to monitor the potassium permanganate treatment in my carp pond and to confirm the water is good between treatments.
