I selected this odd guy because it is one of the few signal generators that enables a modulated output. This is perfect for upgrading vintage radios. The shipping carton had a bunch of Chinese labeling on it, which helped set expectations. It is, in fact, exactly what I was looking for. It is fairly heavy, as it is housed in a sturdy metal case. A big downside is frequency accuracy, as it was way off from the dial numbers. An external frequency counter would be a good mate. Alternates are also easy. As example is the 455 Khz IF frequency marker highlighted on the 2nd band. It was way off frequency, but a couple loops of wire around a digital radio tuned to 910 Khz (2nd harmonic), there's an easy to locate tunable inductor for each band, and bingo, it's now spot on. As an old school analog device, I could wiggle the tuning dial a bit to detect two slightly offset peaks on one radio.
