This is a very simple and inexpensive multimeter. Well, if it costs less than ten dollars. The biggest problem is that DCV ranges are 10, 250 and 500. That makes it almost useless for automotive work. My main DVOM broke yesterday so I used that instead when installing the alternator. With this I was not able to read real battery voltage and alternator voltage. While we're talking, I order another meter (a Mastech digital multimeter, which is well made and has a good range of features - I have one at work).
