I recently discovered that my almost one year old cat already had gum disease over the molars. His gums were bright red, bleeding and he had terrible bad breath. He was wild born and had trouble with socialization so I put off introducing him to brushing. I found that traditional plastic pet toothbrushes were difficult to aim and painful to tap on sore gums. So I ordered them and they are very easy to use, clean and very effective. The brushes stay on my finger and I hit my squirming cat's teeth much more accurately. I wash them after every cleaning and two brushes make sure one of them is dry every day, although they dry very quickly anyway. My cat didn't seem as gentle with them as plastic bristles. I was able to be more aggressive with his gums which I think helped with the results (partly due to the product I bought to use it with (Maxi-Guard Oral Cleansing Gel). I couldn't be happier!
