Review on 💦 Convenient Installation-Free APEC Countertop Water RO CTOP for Clean, Refreshing Drinking Water by Keith Aluguvelli

First of all, the filter quality is excellent! I live in Los Angeles County where my TDS is 112ppm and Apec lowered it to 12ppm. A month later, the tap reading is 121ppm and 6ppm after passing Apec. Now I have the problem that the car started leaking after only 2 weeks. The pipe/hose used was the hose that connects the system to the faucet. The leak came from the feed water hose next to the filter. It looks like there is a slit/cut in the hose near the feed water tube. I fixed the situation by cutting off a few cm from the end. This seems to have fixed the problem until it started leaking again a little over a week later. The leak was in the same place/location. I contacted Apec CSR and they kindly sent a replacement tube. I fixed the problem by snipping a few inches off the tubing where the slit is, pending replacement. It's been a little over a month (a week since the last leak) and my solution is still holding up. I keep a spare tube just in case. I followed all the instructions and only ran cold water through the system. I believe that something or the metal part itself that the hose is attached to is causing it to cut into the hose and cause a leak. I applaud the excellent customer service and response I received from them. The filter system is great. However, I cannot recommend this product at this time due to the hose failing and subsequently leaking and flooding the kitchen floor. I will update my review if something lasts or lasts more than a few weeks/months/year.
