I DON'T KNOW HOW I should rate this review - ONE STAR or FIVE - because I haven't even used this item yet. HOWEVER, let me say up front - I have NO DOUBT that it's great, and does exactly what it is advertised to do . . . make walking with crutcheS safer.I have been using the underarm type of crutcheS (for balance) since 1982, so there's not a lot that anyone can tell me about crutcheS and their use, that I don't know. I learned the hard way that crutcheS can be your best friend, when they are helping you to stay on your feet; OR a treacherous enemy, when they are the reason that your backside is sitting on the ground! Crutches and water, ice, snow, or various other liquified things - that might have found their way to the floor - are NOT friends with one another, period! It can even be as simple as a small piece of paper, but when the crutcheS make contact, if you are not paying diligent attention, you WILL find yourself looking UP; sometimes, with everything intact, except for your pride; sometimes with bruises; other times with a broken ankle, and pelvic bone (ask me how I know that one). SO . . .When I saw this product - while making the purchase of a much needed "pair" of new crutcheS - I was thrilled! After examining the design of this tip, I determined that they would not only provide an added degree of safety on slippery surfaces, but would also assist on inclines, or stairs, when only the thin edge of the crutch tip is making contact with the surface. It really appears to be an awesome product.It may sound silly to say that I was excited to receive my new items. Not only did I purchase new crutcheS, but I also bought two handy bags to attach to "them" (for those who have never used crutcheS, they wouldn't understand how limiting it can be trying to carry something from place to place, when both hands are required to remain on the crutcheS), as well as nice covers for the hand grips & underarm pads for "both", AND, I bought a cup holder (the cup holder was an impulse buy - LOL)! Oh! And these amazing tipS! I couldn't wait to get everything, and switch out from my old, well worn crutcheS, with their worn out tipS, dents and scratches! No . . . It really doesn't take much to make me happy. LOLI received the packages yesterday afternoon, ONE DAY after placing the order. As usual Revain was on the ball, continuing with their excellent service and products! I have NO COMPLAINT about either! That's why this review is difficult for me (My first ever, by the way, but I just felt that I HAD to!). EVERYTHING was perfect, even this product, itself!Have you figured out my complaint yet? You may have noticed my emphasis on the word crutcheS. Yes! That's right. CrutcheS come in PAIRS! But . . . THE "ERGO CAP" DID NOT! Yep! There was ONLY ONE tip in the box! And, no - in anticipation of your question - it wasn't an accident. Unbeknownst to me, that IS how it was sold.I doubt you could imagine my disappointment, frustration, aggravation . . . all combined. And, I didn't even know who to aim any of it at; Revain, the seller or myself! I want to be fair, ALWAYS! Before writing this review, I went back on the page to the product description; just to see if it was MY oversight! Had I been told that I was buying ONLY ONE, and just overlooked it. NO, I don't think so! I could find no clear indication that I was purchasing a SINGLE TIP for my PAIR of crutcheS! During the research, I DID see a pop-up ad for a box of TWO, but when I was making my purchase this was no where to be seen; at least I didn't see it! It NEVER entered my mind that I wasn't purchasing TWO tips! I have been purchasing standard replacement tips for all of these many years, and they ALWAYS came in PAIRS! So, why would I think that these would be any different? And, WHY would you purchase just ONE, for a pair of crutcheS? Anyway . . .I don't know for sure who's error this is; and I really hate for my first review to be a negative one. But, I must reiterate . . . It is NOT about the service, or even the product. It's about the packaging, and the information that is given with it. It needs to be made more clear that you are purchasing ONLY ONE tip, for your PAIR of crutcheS. That leaves me with a choice. Return the product, which I DO NOT want to do. My need, and desire to own this product has not changed. If it's anything like it appears, it will be an awesome aid. That just leaves me with one; I'll have to fork out another $20.15 (the price for one, the two pack saves you a couple of bucks) to purchase this one's twin, and . . . I have to make another purchase to go with it, to get my total up high enough to cover my free Prime shipping. WOW! What a dilemma for a shop-aholic to have . . . purchasing more things! LOLTO SUM IT UP: My ONLY complaint is that I don't believe that it was made clear enough that I would be getting ONLY ONE tip! I'm really not that dense. I would have certainly purchased a two pack ("IF" I had seen that option), or two of the singles, IF it had been made clear to me. I'm going to check again, just to satisfy myself as to whether "I", and not Revain or this seller, was the negligent one. As of now, I don't believe that I was.I'm posting this for anyone else who is considering this product. Save yourself the disappointment and frustration; THERE IS ONLY ONE! Buy two of these, or find the twin pack.As for my decision to rate ONE STAR; that's only so that it would be seen. If you're anything like me, you want to look at the one stars just to see what their reason was. I knew it would just get lost in all of the positive reviews, and I really DO want to save others the hassle.FORGIVE the typos, and my being so wordy!Stay safe! ♥️
