I just received and installed this and there was an extra piece of plastic in the box that was a broken cup holder. If the manufacturer/importer can please send me a replacement cup holder then I can evaluate this product and if not I will send it back. To update. The importer sent me a new cup holder, but I found that the old cup holder had been riveted by the manufacturer so the only way to get at the old cup holder and two of the rivets was to cut it off. It took a long time, more than 2 hours. I then had to buy a riveter (or rivet gun) from a local hardware store and ended up riveting a replacement cup to the unit and it looks almost new (except for all the scratches on the paint body where I had to file off those rivets). ) I suggest if you receive this unit with a broken cup holder, return this item immediately. I've spent over $35 and countless hours working on it. I actually used the product before I had to fix the cup holder and so far it does what I bought it for. Are there better units you can buy? Yes, but you have to pay twice as much to get it. You just have to weigh what is important to you.
