tl/dr: I downloaded the driver from the website. Fixed connection problem. I use this for my desktop computer running Windows 7. I used the installation disc that came with it to install the driver and followed the instructions. It was able to detect all Wi-Fi networks in my cul-de-sac and outside, which is very impressive. However, for some reason, the connection failed. Googling for solutions to this didn't turn up much, but I did find a thread discussing issues with the driver that came in the box.
