Review on πŸ§— Half Dome Climbing Helmet by Black Diamond Equipment: Optimized for SEO by Michael Tegan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good hard case - camping

I have used the previous generation Half Dome for the last four years. He's been bullied a lot - many hundreds of big days of climbing, first ascents, stuffing 40lbs of gear in a backpack, etc. TC pros, oops). But the helmet holds up great, and the stiff seat belts finally bend and buckle a bit. I replaced it with this generation and am very happy with it so far. I like it better than the old model in some ways: the suspension is sturdier, the temples don't press on the ears, it's a little better ventilated. I love the way it drives and when I get up I forget it's on me. It's too early to tell how it will hold up to my abuse, but it appears to be of very high quality and durable. Half Domes are a little heavy, but I haven't seen a lightweight helmet that I trust can survive a fall. give them. By the way, this new helmet weighs 1/2 ounce more than my old Half Dome based on my scale. As with the old Half Dome, the case is quite thick and I'm sure no sharp objects will pierce it.
