Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice 2 205/50 R17 93T winter by Adam Joks ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied, the purchase is quite successful.

Mileage 700km rubber, the car is new with the same mileage. This is to the issue of rutting . everything is new and without wear of parts / backlashes, but rutting is felt. Now the Hong Kong Ring Road with a deep rut! The car does not throw, but there is a demolition into the rut. It doesn’t throw it out of the rut, it works! I really like the rubber, it turned out to ride both on porridge and on ice, but mostly in positive temperatures. But on dry pavement, and even more so wet, braking is not up to par! Before that, I used Continental ContiWinterContact TS 850, skated 4 seasons (I don’t know the mileage, but not a few). Here Conti slows down always and everywhere, ALTHOUGH . pure European winter. Handling is the same, conti only noisier. I believe in a normal minus, Goodyear will also slow down well, but at near zero and zero temperatures, it is not very pleasant to press the brake sharply on wet and dry pavement. Either the abs will work, or the feeling will appear that the car should have stopped three more matras at least back. But still, I really like the tires. Of course, it's too early to talk and I'll try to ate the review next season, but for now, I'm probably leaning towards the new Continental ContiWinterContact TS 860. All my judgments are relevant for the Hong Kong region and to the south) . Already on April 5 and tomorrow I change tires for the summer. What can I say: everything is confirmed, the tires are super quiet, even at 12 degrees heat, very comfortable and handling is on top. Brakes on dry pavement for C grade. BUT THIS IS THE ONLY MINUS.

Pros
  • Very quiet, great handling.
Cons
  • Haven't revealed yet
