If you don't have carbon monoxide alarms in your home, INSTALL THEM NOW. We have a large new house with two stoves on two levels and found that one of them had failed and was starting to emit higher levels of carbon monoxide (still within the 'acceptable' range but above what we wanted) when we saw our mechanic called . Previously we didn't install these sensors, and now there are several of them on each level. They are easy to install, read and use.
