I opened the box for the first time a month after ordering. Yes it was silly but I was overwhelmed and this monitor was intended to be used via an HDMI splitter for a CCTV system that did not already have it installed. When I connected the screen and turned it on, I noticed a thick black bar. a line running horizontally across the rubble. There was also a small filmy square sticking out from the bottom left corner. At first I thought it had to be removed, but after grabbing it and trying to remove the film I figured it couldn't be removed considering how tight it was. I read that another reviewer/buyer was talking about the same issue and decided to check again. Considering that it had been more than a month since I bought it, I thought "what the heck" and undid the screws holding the plastic case in place, carefully removed the front of the case and found that it is indeed a Foil acted, which was described during manufacture. The problem is that the film gets stuck under the beveled edges of the screen, making it impossible to remove and confusing customers. Despite these things, the screen is very fit for purpose and costs a hell of a lot.
