Holding the feeder at the bottom of the cage (mine is quite high) will help avoid a lot of seed drips. I've taken this a step further by wrapping the cage screen (bird seed guard) around the feeder - I cut a hole in it and now I can barely see outside of the cage. It took my parrots about a week to get used to it. but they are like that with most things. I gave them some millet to make sure they didn't starve instead of leaving the old feeder in the cage and it seemed to work.
