I bought this 24oz teapot because I wanted something small to make my own cup of tea without needing a giant teapot. Not to sound silly, but this is a KESSEL, not a KESSEL. In other words, you "shouldn" not boil water in it. I wasn't aware of that when I bought it. HOWEVER, I know many people who have cast iron kettles and still use them to heat water on the stove. So I still use it to heat water for tea and everything seems fine. Just don't use soap on it, it will wear it down over time (just like a cast iron skillet). It's pretty much what I wanted, it's small and very cute. Basically I am very satisfied! :)
