My son is 2 years old, he will be 3 in two months. I knew before I bought it that I would have problems getting him to wear a cap. he is just like that. Every time I put it on him, he immediately threw it back. Maybe he just has a big head, but with all that head stuffing there was so little room for her that she kept wanting to slide off him, understandable why he wouldn't put it on. When you remove the padding and fabric inside, it's as comfortable, holds and stays as fluffy as before. He wore it all night. There were no problems with the vest. I went ahead and taped his shoulders to the shirt I wanted him to wear in case he also wanted to be stubborn and couldn't just take it off and that worked wonders too. I really feel like it wasn't necessarily worth what I paid for it and I could find a way to make it myself, but overall it worked and it looked cute on Halloween.
