Disguise 85229CH Toad Child Costume Review

The vest is very versatile. I've used it on my 1 year old (I had to shrug to pull him in a bit) and on my 8 year old for stage staging. The hat had to be redesigned a bit to make it work on my 1 year old. I took out some of the filler and added an elastic band to hold it. It worked well, but it was a lot of work for the price.

My son was so excited to get his Captain Toad costume! While the hat looks great and is stretched enough to appear like it should fit, it kept falling off his head. Upon inspection, we found that the cap itself probably had too much padding. We solved this problem by ripping one of the seams inside the hat, removing some of the polyethylene fill for a better fit, and sewing the seam back. My son is 2 years old, he will be 3 in two months. I knew before I bought it that I would have problems getting him to wear a cap. he is just like that. Every time I put it on him, he immediately threw it back. Maybe he just has a big head, but with all that head stuffing there was so little room for her that she kept wanting to slide off him, understandable why he wouldn't put it on.
