I bought this to fill regular kegs that have been CO2 flushed and sealed to minimize oxygen exposure. I have made two kegs to date and have been very happy with the scale's performance and would recommend it to other home brewers looking to do the same. The accuracy of the scale is within 2 ounces, which is good for keg purposes. My method is to place the keg on the scale, connect the hoses, and then tare the scale to 0. Then I start filling the keg until it reaches 42 pounds. At this point you have exactly five gallons per keg for a regular 1.010 FG beer. A heavier finisher like 1,020 can handle 42.5lbs, but I settle for 42lbs in all cases and find that sufficient. As stated in the manual, the scale will NOT turn off automatically when using the included power adapter. So use the Keg power pack and you have no time limit. Don't even put batteries in it, otherwise it may turn off automatically. It usually takes me 10-20 minutes to fill a keg with just the power pack with no issues. Other reviews confused me on this.
