I used to have the same thing in metal. Plastic dumplings are worse when it comes to squeezing dumplings out of whole dumplings. The dough seems to stick more to the plastic, and I'd like more weight than metal. In general, it copes with its task, but metal is more convenient. The main advantage of plastic dishes is that they can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
