Doesn't fit: parts and accessories
Although it was the same part number as the GE filter removed from the fridge, it didn't fit. I then ordered the filter directly from GE and it fitted perfectly. I didn't take any measurements, but did a close visual inspection of the threads and fittings that connect the fridge's water system and the two filters appear to be identical, but there must be a slight but significant difference in size. Based on my data, I will only buy original GE filters directly from GE in the future.
