It looks like it was created on purpose to be disappointing.
The design is rather poor. A 1/4" rubber hose (pump manifold fitting) runs over the motor leaving rubber debris from rubber wear vibration away from the pump, otherwise it should not be angled, pointing straight up. The pump manifold fitting is also cut just enough so that the Manifold constantly vibrating against the radiator It could be a few millimeters longer and it wouldn't cause such an annoying rumble The aim is to make a disappointing product.
