I ordered this used. I have hardwood floors in my house and I feed dogs (only 1 or 2 at a time). I've heard good things about this broom's ability to pick up dirt and pet hair. I only ordered the broom head as others have complained that the broom is flimsy. When it arrived I bought a sturdy Dollar General broom, unscrewed the arrowhead from it, and put on the rubber broom. It was wonderful! You use it like a rake. It's great for corners. I tried it on my mats, it was ok. What I REALLY love is that I can use it on my tile floors, then dip it in the cleaning solution and wipe it up! Then just rinse and dry the pen when I'm done. That's great!
