The FM reception is so weak that it is unusable as a radio

Reception was incredibly poor - I have an acceptable signal on a small 4" x 7" handheld weather receiver and much better signals on all the other boomboxes in the house. This thing is useless as an FM radio, except maybe for a very strong signal or two. On my particular machine, the power cord didn't fit properly into the outlet on the back of the machine and the power kept cutting out. I don't know if it's just an issue with that, but it looks like it's a design issue with the base not being deep enough. Low price (I bought it for a dirty paint shop,
