First of all I have to mention the possibility of auto-dimming the mirror - this is the main advantage of this article over many others and that is why I chose it. However, I agree with other reviews that the screen quality is below average, but what I'm missing isn't the brightness, it's the contrast. In order to achieve good daytime visibility, the screen must have both high contrast and high brightness. The screen's colors and contrast appear dull during the day, but are quite acceptable at night. Overall screen quality could be better considering the price. I would trade the higher resolution of this screen for the higher contrast and color reproduction of many lower-resolution competitors. Also, the first item I received from Revain was defective (air bubbles in the mirror) and the customer was happy to replace it. Unlike some other brands, this camera does NOT have a reverse shutter release cable, so you need to use the power cable (Vcc) for the camera to turn the screen on/off. For me this works well and can extend the life of your camera since it isn't on most of the time.
