I chose the SUPCASE because it was said to offer superior protection. I'm happy to report that my iPhone XR fell on concrete shortly after installing the case so the claim is fully justified. Although I did not purchase the built in screen protector, it adds an extra layer of protection to the iPhone and does not affect the functionality of the case or, as I expected, its appearance. If a thin profile and lightweight feel are a priority, then this isn't the case. (With the outer frame on, the SUPCASE feels a bit heavier and bulkier in the hand.) But if the goal is to make sure your expensive phone can withstand an accidental drop onto a hard surface, then the SUPCASE's durability won't disappoint.
