This gimmick, while pricey for a food processor blade carrier, is an absolute must when your kitchen has such sharp appliances. Before I got this, I kept blades and discs on a shelf and would stab myself during the day (fortunately not that bad), but realized it was important to lock these things up in a case to avoid further injury. Do yourself a favor and don't repeat my mistake and send $27 of that value to save yourself a finger or two! To be honest, it couldn't have paired better with all those accessories and you'll thank them later for the ease of use it offers. Be careful when handling these blades, they are very sharp!
