I drive a BMW F800ST and most BMWs have a rear platform for an extra holdall. So I placed my helmet where the bag would fit as the bike already has two side storage boxes and attached it to the helmet instead of the chin strap and it fits perfectly. I have a larger Aria helmet, so all the buyer has to do is find a spot on the bike to thread the metal chain through and then block it. If someone wants to steal the helmet, they'll need bolt cutters to cut the cable. I could never imagine anyone cutting a cable because I always park my bike in a safe place and when they do it well I can't compete with bolt cutters. If they want a sweaty helmet that's a few years old, they can get it. Also, most places I park have security cameras, so I park in their line of sight. If they want to steal the bike, it won't happen.
