Review on HME Products Trail Camera Holder by David Golden

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I ended up doing a comparison

I ended up returning this Trail Cam mount. I also ordered the Slate River EZ Aim Slate River EZ Aim Game Camera Mount to compare side by side. I have never tried these screw mounts. I found it difficult to adjust the tension to my liking with this HME mount. I had to use two wrenches (one for the bolt head and one for the nut) to make adjustments. The Slate River camera mount uses thumbscrews to adjust the tension, which is much easier to fine-tune. Additionally, the HME mount uses up to 4 separate rubber washers for a snug fit at the camera's screw points, and I can foresee it being easy to lose them when attaching the camera to the mount on the go. Forest. The Slate River mount uses a wing nut that has a washer permanently attached, greatly reducing the chance of accidentally losing it. For a few bucks more the Slate River wins by a mile for me, but if others find the HME mount satisfactory then they have more power.
