The whole package is unusable by default. With some modifications, this basket has become a functional ultra-light disc golf basket weighing 3.5 kg. The second lightest I know of is the Innova Discatcher Traveler, which weighs (and costs) about twice as much. Major modifications to make this laptop a decent featherweight include replacing all (completely useless) plastic chains with 3mm diameter stainless steel chains, adding 6 additional internal chains (2mm diameter), strengthening all rack connections with strong tape and sewing fine mesh grids. upper strap material that fully encloses the chains (similar to some Discatcher Traveler models). The triple legs are wide enough for enough stability so hitting 10 yards with (real) putters (175g DD Wardens) didn't result in wobbling or tipping over. For DG players, it can be considered a shooting type basket due to its smaller sweetspot, small diameter bucket and without the mesh mesh mod, and without the mesh mod only center or side shots are caught. With a mesh mod, it catches better and becomes a functional portable pen weight. The attached image does not include the mesh mod.
