Review on πŸ”₯ Advanced Testo Wireless Hot Wire Anemometer Technology by Eldrick Carlton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Entry level anemometer with excellent quality and value for money

It should be noted that I really like the following and think it's worth mentioning: The pivot shaft that allows you to rotate the meter shaft from straight to 90 degrees what great for measuring hard-to-reach places and minimizing stock size storage. not used - telescopic shaft for the same reasons - increased reach and minimized storage size - lanyard - not mentioned on the Revain page for this product, nor on the product page of the Testo website; I really like having a drawstring closure that allows me to wrap the strap around my wrist for security. It measures both the temperature and the flow rate, which offers many useful additional functions, especially with this device. Great battery life (so far). - Although the batteries that came with the anemometer were unnecessary, and after installation the device immediately flashed red (meaning the battery is low). Replaced with three Duracells and have been using for a few hours - still works. My only first world complaint is with the owner's manual/startup guide. They literally give you no instructions on how to actually initialize the bluetooth connection between the anemometer and your smart device. Although this is very simple, a simple explanation in any document will eliminate any possible confusion. The "testo Smart" app does not have a "Connect" button or a settings menu item for initialization. And the instructions just tell you to turn on the anemometer, open the app, and use your device. It's not that easy. Instructions for Android: 1. Turn on the wind meter. It should blink yellow/light orange.2. Open the testo Smart App. Click on the three horizontal bars in the top left corner of the main app home screen --> select "Measure" --> select "Main View" or whichever mode you want to use.3. At this point your smart device should find the anemometer and start displaying instantaneous readings. The light next to the power button on the anemometer will start blinking green instead of amber to confirm.

Pros
  • Anemometer
Cons
  • Something different
