Almost flat as a spatula

We have forks and we like them, so we ordered spoons. They should be called mini spatulas for toddlers. We received the blue spoons and they are almost completely flat. There is no way my 2 year old could use them effectively as a spoon without falling out. We'd better use them as a kid's knife for soft foods like bananas. We are in the process of sending them back.
