I was just trying to use yellow in my MFC-870DW. When I opened the package it spilled all over my hand. for my MFC-885 and forgot that two printers don't use the same cartridge. Stupid I know I have and use a set of these in the MFC-885 and they have been excellent - although the printer has been in a high ambient temperature in my workshop for a long time. this summer. With skylights in my office/workshop it heats up to 110 degrees Fahrenheit and I rush home to work. I found Heather's top rated review and agree with her advice: the base of the back of the ink cartridge (it just snaps into place and then, like magic, everything is fine). 2) Insert the cartridge into the slot THEN remove the tab at the top that says "Pull". If you remove this tab before inserting the cartridge, ink WILL squirt out (it's just a vent hole). 3) Now reinsert the cartridge and start printing."
