First impression: Wow! Delightfully smaller, it seems well made, neat and compact. Will he be carrying a lot of gear for a professional photo shoot? No, but it's not designed for that. Let me explain how I will use this bag. My husband and I love to travel the world and we each come home with thousands of photos. When I go on a bus tour, I take a large bag with an umbrella, jacket, water bottle, etc., but I would never drop my camera in that bag. I love having my camera protected in a bag and then I can slip the bag into a large bag when I'm just moving from place to place. When I reach my destination, I can still take off the smaller camera bag and leave the bag on the bus (or hotel) for the sights that big bags or backpacks don't allow. This bag has many pockets for small items like cleaning. Cloth, flash, filter, charging cable. and even a water bottle fits in the elastic pocket at one end. When it arrived I was concerned that the edge of the inner green lining might interfere with the top outer zip closing. However, when the zipper is closed, this edge simply hides inside the bag, which is not a problem. Also, it seemed to me from the Revain photos that the inner lining of the bag was light green and the top flap was more turquoise, and this discrepancy should have bothered me. I'm happy to report that the main lining of the bag is a bright, lovely light green, while the top flap is a slightly darker green but is the same color spectrum so the slight difference doesn't bother me at all. The fabric feels thick. and strong. While this case won't protect a valuable camera from a major fall, it can certainly protect against minor bumps in everyday use. It comes with a rain cover, which is good, but the slots on each side for the rings (to attach a shoulder strap) seem to be in the wrong places. I plan to add a split ring to each side of the bag to allow the rain cover to fit better on the shoulder strap. Have you ever read this list of cities in the world with the most pickpockets? These are the cities we visited. I try to be very careful to protect my camera from thieves. In these places I prefer my bag to be secured with two points of contact. In risk areas, I use a shoulder strap and also attach the bag to my belt with a carabiner. This bag has straps on the back to fit over the handle of your suitcase. The same straps are perfect for my extra security. Before ordering this case I was concerned if my Sony Rx10-mark iv would fit. That's great! I placed the included dividers very close to each end of the bag which add extra padding to each end, but the small spaces at the ends can hold additional items like filters. The strap/camera strap can be rolled up and worn over it. Could not be better. The only weak spots I can see are the plastic D-rings on each side, as well as the connectors on the strap. This might have bothered me if the bag was larger and intended to carry heavier items, but given its small size it can probably be carried neatly under the arm. I don't think I'll ever stress these points to the point where they break. If they break, any professional or shoe repair shop can easily replace these parts with metal spares. For travel, sports, one-day photo shoots, this small bag is perfect. Love it! Good Trip!
