Too bad I didn't buy it - the o-ring won't stay in place.

I am so dissatisfied with it. The o-ring in the lid doesn't stay in place, so I can't open and close the lid without it falling out - ever. And when I press it down with my fingers, it still doesn't close properly. Since I use this as a compost box on the counter, this is a real problem. I had one from another brand that I really liked until it rusted 10 years later - I hated this one since the day I got it a month ago.
