So my 2011 Vw was showing signs of a weak battery even knowing my battery load tester said it was acceptable. finally with sub zero weather this week it decided not to start. Since I have a 2nd vehicle I've been driving that to work and let the Vw set or a couple days. The AutGen came in yesterday and went out to try it on the Vw after a full charge. The Vw wouldn't even click although the interior lights had some juice. The AutoGen started it with out hesitation (2.5L 5cyl) and was at 98% battery life post start.impressive. I'm going to wait to put the new battery in as I want to try this thing a couple more times to see what the battery level stays at.It's a very simple interface and the having the LCD screen was a big selling point incase my wife ever has to use it. It stated it was ready for jump when connected.I know some of these units can be "hot" at the clamps from the minute they are plugged in. I didn't test this unit but I chose to put the clamps on the battery first and then attach them to the AutoGen.I'll report back in a month and another 3 months to let you know how the battery level is holding up while simply stored in my truck.
