Versatile but small.
After using it for more than a year, I clearly understand how to rate it. It is designed to be used with a variety of ingredients other than base oil and vinegar, pepper and salt. My disappointment comes from its capacity of only 8 ounces. I take on the chopping of garlic buds and use salt and pepper, which I hand grind only for the dressing. If my recipe calls for 1/4 cup lemon juice and 1/4 cup water, it makes up to 12 ounces with vinegar and oil. It's more work if the shaker only holds 8 oz.
