We bought a pair of these shoes two summers ago for our dog to wear while swimming in our pool to keep his claws from scratching the lining and keep his paws cool while swimming. on the surrounding concrete. The first thing we noticed was that instead of two Velcro straps that went around each boot, there was only one. This doesn't work because the top strap keeps it around the leg and the bottom strap around the "ankle" is larger. Having it on one meant it pulled hard when the dog was awake, running or swimming. Basically, as the dog moves, the straps would stretch and loosen, and the shoes would fall off. We also noticed that after the second try, the sole started to separate from the upper of the shoe. Another wear and tear and all four shoes became unbearable. The old design barely lasted us through the summer, but the new design didn't even last a week, and my dog only wore them for about fifteen minutes each time. In the end we sent them back.
