I bought this for a 2014 Buick Verano, I called the locksmith and asked how much it would cost to cut it off, he said it would cost me $160 cost for each key. . I just wanted to order them from the dealer. I went to the dealer to get a price for cutting it off. They said since it's not their key they won't cut it off if it doesn't work. (If it was one of their keys they would do it for free). I told them if it didn't work I would take responsibility for it and not hold them accountable. cut off both keys, I asked how much it was and they didn't charge me. It was very easy to program, put the original key in the 'on' position without cranking it, then put the new one in and turned it to the 'start' position, then turned it off and on again, it worked . I used the second key to program the third. The dealer told me not to use the original key to program both, it's just that if something happens to the first key it doesn't affect all 3 keys. I have absolutely no problems with it and am glad I got it as I only had one key and it was already lost like it was about to break.
