We tried everything to prevent our cat from scratching our sofa. The adhesive strips don't stick to the fabric (and he soon learned to peel them off anyway!), and I was concerned about the warning labels and chemicals in other anti-scratch sprays. This spray seems to keep it from scratching but needs to be reapplied often to be effective. Luckily, it smells nice and doesn't leave stains!
