*UPDATE* After the car was first started and warmed up to temp the freeze plug built into this pump decided to pop out and spit out all the coolant. Engine. Thank God he was still in the driveway and not driving down the street. I cannot recommend this water pump at all. To solve this problem, I bought a plug of the right size from the Carquest Store. Since then everything is fine. The real root of the problem appears to have been a small plug held in place by some kind of factory green Loctite. *FIRST REVIEW* I bought this pump to replace another ACDelco pump. The old one was fine, it was just time to tackle the timing belt so I swapped out the pump for servicing. I noticed that the old one had a bit of play on the shaft so it was good to replace it, the old one had about 35,000 miles on it and not even at low revs or light cruising. The only issue I noticed with this new pump was that it looked like it had been dropped next to the screw holes and had a slight lip on it. Nothing a few scrolls through the file wouldn't take care of, but it could have been a leak issue if it hadn't been fixed.
