Review on 💻 Corsair XMS3 16GB DDR3 1333 MHz Desktop Memory - Enhanced Performance for Your PC by Paul Williams

Corsair XMS3 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1333MHz (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory 1.5 VI ordered to fit a Dell xps8300 desktop from 8GB upgrade to 16GB. The RAM comes factory-installed in the form of four 2GB modules (one in each of the available memory slots). This product consists of two 8GB modules, so it is possible to increase the total capacity to 32GB, although the system only recognizes 16GB without any settings. According to the instructions provided with the memory kit and the Dell User's Guide, the modules must be installed in slots labeled 1 and 2 (not adjacent, but easily identifiable by the numbers "1" and "2", and the fact that these two Slots have white latches versus black for the other two). The last of the attached images shows the layout. Removing old units was easy once they were on display. The main detail is to remove the spaghetti of the power cables to have a clear view of them. Simply press the two latches in each slot and the modules slide out effortlessly. Likewise, the new modules were easy to slide in, and lifting the latches while holding the card worked smoothly. After switching on, everything booted up as usual without any problems. Checking installed memory via system information showed 16GB of installed memory. I also ran the Dell diagnostics to check everything and everything passed. I've only had them installed for a couple of weeks so can't rate durability (other reviewers have found faults after a few months of use) but for the price and obvious quality I'll give it 5 stars. is there a difference Well, that didn't hurt :) The performance rating in the system dialog (for what it's worth) didn't change much before and after the update. But I think I can say that the Shadow of the Tomb Raider game loaded a bit faster on Steam, although there isn't much of a difference in actual gameplay. The biggest factor is probably the graphics card and that's another jump in $$$.
