I was pleasantly surprised with this product. Maybe it's just me, but ultimately it made the vacuum easier to use and gave me more use out of a small, expensive vacuum system. I mostly use a crevice tool with a vacuum without an extension cord. The fumes from the vacuum tend to blow up any piles I've swept up. With a hose I can keep the vacuum cleaner at a distance or tilt the exhaust, which makes cleaning easier and faster. I can also get the crevice tool in places I couldn't if it were attached directly to the handheld vacuum. Now I can clean the inside of the dryer exhaust pipe, which used to take a couple of brushes and a hook. "Why" this advertisement for a hand vacuum cleaner is valuable cannot be explained in more detail. Drive for a week or two and check it out. If you use your Dyson handheld vacuum every 3 days or more, or use it frequently in your car. I mean, one day you should try an extension hose.
