I was concerned from all the reviews I've read about this product not working but the latch box on my son's North Face down jacket broke and the warranty has expired , so $10. what the hell. I got them yesterday and removed what was left of the old plastic retainer box and put the new one on. I didn't have the pliers they sold separately but I did have the needle nose pliers that I worked with. The zipper works great and I have an extra one in case it breaks. Even if I make it through the year I'll be content because my son will probably outgrow him in a year. Would definitely buy again!
